Almost a decade ago, we started buying Hot Wheels cars for my son who was obsessed with cars from a very young age. They are sturdy and beautiful and come in a variety of designs. When you turn the car upside down, more details are given - name/model/year, which was very helpful as my son got older and could identify the cars when paired with his Top Gear magazines. The best part about Hot Wheels cars? Apart from a few scratches, most of his collection are in tact (although scattered in various toy boxes/cupboard) and his younger brother, almost 2 years, is making use of it today! (#winning) Oh, and they're not badly priced at all.
