Lego is a staple in my home. Given the huge age gap of 8 years between my two boys (now 10 and almost 2), a lot of the "surviving" toys from my older son are now being shared with his younger brother. Lego Duplo is one such toy (and I'm sure the rest of his Lego collection will be just the same). They are solid and sturdy and last years! My sons even visit their grandmother's house and use their Dad's Lego from his childhood. Need I say more? Besides, Lego is an investment in ECD and provides numerous ways for your child to get creative and build on his imaginative skills. It is more expensive than other blocks/toys, but definitely worth it. A great alternative for kids who spend hours in front of the screen.
